Direct-Link-Consult e.V. (DLC) is an association under German law located in Berlin, Germany uniting university professors and international distinguished Information and Communication Technology (ICT) experts on demand to provide training and professional services to network operators, integrators and manufacturers around the globe.
The association has been founded in 1996 under the name of IKV Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie Verbund e.V. by Prof. Dr. Radu Popescu-Zeletin and Prof. Dr. Bernd Mahr from Technische Universität Berlin in order to link academic experts with German enterprises, who looked for independent ICT training and professional services supporting these enterprises in their strategy and portfolio definitions and optimizations. Main customers have been tier one network operators, integrators and equipment manufacturers, who faced the challenges of fixed mobile convergence and broadband network evolution.
In 2006, IKV e.V. has been renamed into Direct-Link-Consult e.V. in order to reflect the impacts of globalization and the growing international customer base. Since these days DLC e.V. is providing international enterprises, including service providers, integrators, manufacturers and application providers an orientation for a successful digital transformation, driven by continuous ICT evolution and increasing demand for connecting humans and things in the emerging Gigabit Society.
Direct-Link-Consult e.V. experts have a solid technology knowhow and are experienced coaches for providing onsite staff training on the enabling technologies for building customized 5G networks and related vertical industrial applications.
